Lauren believes in building a strong foundation of trust with her clients by leading with authenticity, openness, and compassion. She specializes in using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, eating disorders, and other life stressors. Whether clients are navigating overwhelming emotions, relationship challenges, or behaviors they want to change, Lauren works alongside them to help identify unhelpful patterns, build the skills needed to create lasting change, and create more meaningful lives.
Lauren also works with couples to improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. Her approach is warm and validating, and she is dedicated to providing an accepting and safe therapeutic space where clients can process difficult experiences and learn practical ways to manage distress.
Lauren earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from St. John’s University and completed her psychology internship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York-Presbyterian. She is experienced in providing comprehensive DBT to adults experiencing severe emotion dysregulation as well as Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading fantasy novels, trying new restaurants, and caring for her plants.
