Psychology Extern

Sarah is passionate about helping people improve their lives using evidence-based treatments including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She works with adolescents and adults who have difficulty managing their emotions, trauma, anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), self-injurious behavior, grief, relationship challenges, and other life stressors. She takes a warm and open approach in working with her clients to reduce their distress and achieve their goals.

Sarah is currently completing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University Post after receiving her master’s degree from Pace University. She has worked at multiple sites throughout her training, including the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy and the LIU Psychological Services Center. Sarah’s research focuses on the benefits of independence for children aged 9-13 who struggle with anxiety. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys reading, going to the movies, and traveling.
